Songs with Hope in the Lyrics

There is a quiet lie that creeps into the hearts of so many Christian women:
"This is all you are."
"Stay in your lane."
"Do not be too different."
But the Word of God says something entirely different.
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people..." -1 Peter 2:9 KJV
Peculiar. Set apart. Not meant to blend in. So why do we shrink when God calls us to stand out?
Faith That Breaks the Mold
That is why this month's feature in Holy Calling Magazine hits differently. Drive Thru Society is not your typical Christian band...and that is exactly the point.
They are loud.
They are bold.
They are unapologetically Kingdom-driven.
And in a world that often tries to sanitize faith into something comfortable and convenient, they are choosing conviction over comfort.
Not Your Average Worship Sound
Let's be real...metalcore and violin are not what most people picture when they think "Christian music." But maybe that is the problem.
We have grown too use to putting God in a box...and expecting His people to stay there too.
Drive Thru Society flips that narrative.
Their music dives headfirst into the real, messy, uncomfortable parts of life:
Grief
Infertility
Division
Spiritual Battles
And yet...they write all of their songs with hope in the lyrics.
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." -John 8:32 KJV
Freedom does not come from pretending life is perfect. It comes from bringing the broken pieces to the feet of Jesus.
A Call to Go Deeper
Even their name, Drive Thru Society, is a wake-up call. Because if we are honest, a lot of modern faith has become exactly that.
Quick.
Convenient.
Surface-level.
Show up. Consume. Leave. Repeat.
But God never called us to a drive-thru relationship with Him.
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you..." -James 4:8 KJV
Their message? Slow down. Press in. Grow roots.
For the Woman Who Feels "Too Much"
Let's talk about something that does not get said enough. Being a bold, creative, faith-filled woman can feel lonely. Especially when:
You are misunderstood
You are underestimated
You are told to "tone it down"
And in male-dominated spaces? That pressure can double. But here's the truth...
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." -Philippians 4:13 KJV
You do not need permission to walk in your calling. You do not need approval to obey God. You just need obedience.
Your Calling Might Not Make Sense to Everyone
Drive Thru Society's journey has not been easy, but it has been obedient. And obedience will always:
Cost you something
Stretch you beyond comfort
Require unwavering faith
But it will also lead to impact you could never manufacture on your own.
Their mission is simple:
Meet people where they are
Speak truth into real-life struggles
Point everything back to Jesus
And remind the broken, the overlooked, and the searching...there is still hope.
So Here's the Real Question...
What has God placed on YOUR heart?
The idea you keep pushing aside. The dream that feels "too different." The calling that others do not understand. Because the truth is...
"Many are called, but few are chosen." -Matthew 22:14 KJV
Not because God is not calling. But because not everyone is willing to say yes.
Your Next Step
If you are craving music that: Speaks truth
Hits hard
Lifts your spirit back to Christ

Because your calling? It is not random. It is not too much. And it is DEFINITELY not meant to be hidden.
Final Word
You do not have to fit in to be used by God. You just have to be willing.
"Here am I; send me." -Isaiah 6:8 KJV
